Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 2026-08-23

CalcMonde (https://calcmonde.com) is committed to making its calculators and content usable by as many people as possible, including people using assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation.

Standards we work toward

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the widely recognized standard for web accessibility. This means working toward pages that are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust — for example, sufficient color contrast, text that can be resized without breaking layout, forms with clear labels, and calculator controls that work with a keyboard alone, not just a mouse or touchscreen.

What we've done

- Every calculator's input fields carry visible, associated labels rather than relying on placeholder text alone
- Pages use semantic HTML headings in order, so screen reader users can navigate by heading structure
- Interactive elements — buttons, form fields, the language switcher, the mobile navigation menu — are reachable and operable by keyboard
- Text and background colors are chosen for readable contrast
- Content is structured so it still makes sense when read aloud in document order by a screen reader

Known limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time checklist, and we know some parts of the site fall short of full compliance today. In particular:

- Some interactive calculator widgets have not yet had a full assistive-technology audit for every input type
- Some third-party embedded elements (such as the Google Analytics script) are outside our direct control and follow Google's own accessibility practices, not ours
- Older content added before our current accessibility guidelines may not yet meet every criterion above

We are actively working through these gaps rather than treating this statement as a finished claim of full compliance.

Compatibility

The site is built to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and with commonly used screen readers (such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver) on those browsers. Very old or unsupported browser versions may not render every feature correctly.

Feedback and reporting a problem

If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on CalcMonde — a calculator you can't operate with a keyboard, text you can't resize, content a screen reader reads out of order, or anything else — please tell us through the contact page. Include the page URL and, if you can, what assistive technology or browser you were using. We treat accessibility reports as a priority and will work to fix genuine barriers.

Our ongoing commitment

Accessibility work on CalcMonde is reviewed each time we add or substantially change a calculator or page, not only when a report comes in. Where an issue affects everyday use of the site, we prioritize it ahead of purely cosmetic fixes. We would rather hear about a real problem and fix it than leave this statement unchallenged.
